New CROP-La Presse Poll

CROP has released a new poll today, looking at the federal situation in Quebec. The results are as follows:

Bloc Québécois - 34%
Liberals - 31%
Conservatives - 16%
NDP - 15%
Greens - 4%

This has resulted in a change in the projections. The Bloc has fallen to 49 seats and the Liberals are up one to 97 (17 in Quebec). The popular vote, in Quebec, has also changed:

Liberals +1.1
NDP +1.1
Greens -0.2
Conservatives -0.8
Bloc Québécois -1.0

  1. Could someone confirm whether this is a voluntary response poll? If so, then it is meaningless, and irresponsible of this site/the press to report it as if it was representative of actual support. This is what La press says: "METHODS: Data collection took place from online 16 to 21 March 2011 through a web panel. A total of 1000 questionnaires were completed. Note that given the non-probability sample, the calculation of the margin of error does not apply."

  2. You do realize that you are responding to a post dated from January 2009, correct?
